A Kidney For Beth

     I am a wife to my wonderful husband, Timothy, and a mother to my two greatest gifts, Ryann and Ashton. Tim and I feel truly blessed, and we cherish the time we spend traveling, entertaining, and being surrounded by family and friends.

 

     About a year ago, during a routine physical, my doctor noticed some concerning results in my lab work and referred me to a nephrologist for further evaluation. After a series of tests, including a kidney biopsy, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. As you can imagine, this news has completely upended our lives. Thankfully, through a referral from dear friends, I’ve found an incredible doctor and team who are not only compassionate but also proactive in managing my condition.

 

     Although there is no cure for kidney disease, my doctors have told me that a kidney transplant offers the best chance for survival, and finding a living donor is crucial. Unfortunately, due to genetic factors, my immediate family is not a viable option for donation.  Asking for help is incredibly difficult, but I’m reaching out in the hope that, together, we can find someone willing to donate a kidney and give me a chance at a future with my loved ones.
